Job Summary
The Civil Engineer is responsible for planning, supervising, and executing civil construction activities related to industrial buildings, factory sheds, plant infrastructure, foundations, roads, drainage systems, and utility works. The role ensures projects are completed safely, within budget, on schedule, and in compliance with quality standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject Planning & Execution
- Plan and execute industrial shed construction projects.
- Supervise construction of factory buildings, RCC structures, foundations, roads, and utility works.
- Coordinate with architects, structural consultants, contractors, and vendors.
- Monitor project schedules and ensure timely completion.
Industrial Shed Construction
- Supervise fabrication and erection of Pre-Engineered Buildings (PEB) and structural steel sheds.
- Verify foundation levels, anchor bolt positioning, and structural alignment.
- Ensure proper installation of roofing sheets, wall cladding, gutters, skylights, and ventilation systems.
- Coordinate with mechanical and electrical teams during project execution.
Site Supervision
- Monitor daily site activities and manpower.
- Ensure work is carried out according to approved drawings and specifications.
- Verify quality of construction materials before use.
- Prepare daily progress reports and project updates.
Quality Control
- Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Inspect concrete work, reinforcement, masonry, finishing, and structural steel erection.
- Conduct quality inspections and coordinate corrective actions when required.
- Maintain inspection records and site documentation.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with site safety regulations and company safety procedures.
- Conduct regular safety inspections.
- Ensure contractors follow PPE and safe working practices.
- Coordinate statutory approvals related to construction activities when required.
Cost & Material Management
- Estimate material requirements and monitor consumption.
- Verify contractor bills and work measurements.
- Control project costs and minimize material wastage.
- Coordinate procurement of construction materials.
Documentation
- Maintain site records, measurement books, drawings, and project documentation.
- Prepare work progress reports and project status updates.
- Coordinate with consultants regarding design changes and revisions.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- On-time project completion.
- Construction quality with minimum rework.
- Budget adherence.
- Zero major safety incidents.
- Material wastage within approved limits.
- Contractor performance and productivity.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of industrial shed construction and factory infrastructure.
- Experience in PEB (Pre-Engineered Building) structures.
- Knowledge of RCC construction, structural steel, and foundation work.
- Ability to read civil and structural drawings.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, MS Project, and Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of BOQ preparation, estimation, and billing.
- Strong leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Experience
- 2–10 years of experience in industrial construction projects.
- Experience in factory buildings, warehouses, manufacturing plants, or industrial sheds.
- Exposure to contractor management and project execution.
Authority
- Supervise and inspect all civil construction activities.
- Approve work execution as per approved drawings and specifications.
- Recommend corrective actions for quality and safety issues.
- Coordinate with contractors and consultants for project execution.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
