The Global Operate Team is comprised of professionals with various areas of focus that collectively provide mission critical services to support Global Operate's overall success. Whether focused on sales excellence, delivery transformation, quality and risk management, contracts management, finance and operations, capability build, communications and change management, knowledge management, marketing and market intelligence, or other activities, these professionals ensure that our Firm operates efficiently, and our people can effectively serve clients every day.
Work you'll do:
The professional will work with India colleagues and senior leaders across Global Operate. The Manager leads delivery for defined solution architecture and presales workstreams—translating agreed standards into day-to-day delivery plans and controls, coordinating with cross-functional partners across Sales, Pricing, Delivery, and Business Intelligence workstreams to resolve issues and implement improvements, coaching junior team members, and providing clear status reporting and escalations to leadership. The Manager is the hands-on solution architect who owns execution quality end-to-end across active programmes and pursuits.
Key responsibilities
- Cloud & Infrastructure Design: Designs and validates Azure IaaS/PaaS solutions for active delivery programmes; architects multi-cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP) and hybrid cloud environments; delivers compute, storage, and network designs to agreed standards; reports on delivery status, risks, and release readiness; applies FinOps cost controls within programme guardrails.
- Security & Data Architecture: Applies security architecture patterns (IAM, controls, secure-by-design) to active delivery; designs data models using Snowflake, Databricks, and vector DBs; ensures data sovereignty and privacy compliance per Deloitte policies; maintains architecture models and reports issues and risks to leadership.
- AI Architecture & Solution Delivery: Designs and coordinates delivery (with Dev teams) of AI/GenAI solutions (RAG, copilots, agentic workflows) within active programmes; implements LLM orchestration using LangGraph, CrewAI, MCP, A2A; executes AI lifecycle — data prep, model deployment, observability; creates reusable AI artefacts and reports status, risks, and release readiness.
- AI Innovation & Enablement: Infuses active proposals and delivery programmes with GenAI accelerators, agentic AI frameworks, and copilots; evaluates new AI technologies; builds POC-to-commercial AI assets; contributes reusable AI IP and patterns to the practice asset library.
- RFP, Bid & Solution Narrative: Translates RFP requirements into scalable, credible solution architectures; owns solution narrative across EOI/RFI/RFP responses and orals for $10M+ opportunities; builds compelling decks, narratives, and pricing models; leads discovery workshops and manages multiple simultaneous pursuits against agreed timelines.
- Commercial & Pricing Acumen: Builds defensible pricing models (T&M, fixed-price, managed services, outcome-based); defines SLA/OLA constructs and high-level estimates tied to ROI for POC/MVP/commercial models; creates transition plans and identifies commercial risks; reports commercial status to leadership.
- Solution Design & Reusable IP: Creates compelling solution architectures using Figma, Miro, and PowerPoint; builds and maintains reusable artefacts, reference architectures, and POVs; presents to senior stakeholders and CXOs; turns capabilities into differentiated, repeatable offerings based on real market demand.
- Stakeholder & Client Engagement: Engages cross-functionally with member-firm business and client-facing teams; navigates C-level to engineering conversations; leads discovery workshops; provides clear status reporting and escalations; collaborates with Sales, Pricing, and delivery teams on pursuit coordination.
- Team Coaching & Capability Build: Coaches junior solution architects and team members on day-to-day solutioning, delivery, and consulting skills; provides feedback and guidance within active programmes; contributes to sales enablement via reusable templates and messaging; operates effectively in virtual, multi-timezone team environments.
- Communication & Thought Leadership: Produces executive-grade documents — PPT decks, Excel models, Power BI dashboards; simplifies complex architectures for non-technical audiences; writes clear, concise, compelling proposals and status reports; contributes to POVs and reusable messaging; reports delivery progress accurately and on time.
- Operating Model & Delivery Governance: Executes delivery against agreed plans and controls; identifies and mitigates RACDs throughout the development lifecycle; maintains architecture models per Deloitte privacy and data sovereignty policies; manages competing priorities across multiple countries and time zones; reports status and escalates issues clearly.
Requisite core skills
- Experience in $1M+ services deals (multi-tower or multi-year preferred); ability to build defensible pricing models (T&M, fixed-price, managed services, outcome-based).
- Hands-on understanding of services delivery including SDLC, cloud migrations, modernisation, architecture patterns, and infra operations.
- Experience designing or positioning solutions with AI integration, agent workflows, automation, or model-enhanced apps (Claude / Copilots, RAG systems, intelligent workflows).
- Deep end-to-end understanding of architecture standards and platform solution development; experience with Microsoft Teams, Dynamics 365, O365 / Azure services.
- Experience with ServiceNow, Azure IaaS and PaaS services; knowledge of Agile Development, CMMI, SDLCM, Microsoft Operations Framework (MOF), and Microsoft Solutions Framework (MSF).
- Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence, BOT Framework, RPA, and virtual agents; knowledge of Python, AI stacks, NLP, and Data preprocessing.
- Familiarity with modern data and AI stacks (Snowflake, Databricks, vector DBs, LLM orchestration frameworks); hands-on experience with one or more major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Multi-cloud architecture design, migration strategies, and FinOps / cost optimisation; security architecture—controls, IAM, governance, secure-by-design patterns.
- Strong core consulting skills—research, financial analysis, logical structuring and storyboarding; advanced skills with MS Suite (PowerPoint, Excel), O365, SharePoint, and MS Teams.
- Strong business writing skills—clear, concise, and compelling writing capabilities.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities given aggressive timelines; comfortable performing in a fast-paced, dynamic environment across time zones.
- Accustomed to working in teams, including virtual teams; highly developed personal and professional ethics.
- Must possess the ability to handle the highest level of confidential information.
- Knowledge and previous experience in operate / managed services, innovation, strategy & operations, transformational roles.
Qualifications, experience, work location, and timing

- Work experience: 10+ years total; 4–5 years in Solution Architect, Pre-Sales Engineering, or comparable consulting role; experience on $1M+ multi-tower or multi-year services deals.
- Academic qualification: Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Business Management (MBA).
- Preferred certification: TOGAF 9/10 · Azure Solutions Architect · AWS SA Professional · GCP Professional Cloud Architect · O365/Azure PaaS & IaaS · ITIL v4 Foundation
- Strong track record with previous employment, preferably with professional services firms or corporate strategy.
