At Hindustan Fastners, the Manager – Production Planning and Control (PPC) is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring manufacturing activities to ensure smooth production flow and timely delivery of customer orders. The role includes preparing daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on customer requirements, machine capacity, manpower availability, and material status while ensuring optimum utilization of resources. The PPC Manager coordinates closely with production, purchase, stores, quality, dispatch, and sales departments to maintain proper scheduling, inventory control, and on-time dispatches. Key responsibilities also include monitoring production progress, minimizing delays and bottlenecks, maintaining WIP and stock levels, tracking order status, preparing MIS and production reports, and ensuring adherence to delivery timelines and production targets. The role involves analyzing production data, improving planning accuracy, reducing idle time and excess inventory, and implementing process improvements to enhance operational efficiency. The Manager – PPC also handles customer schedule coordination, vendor follow-ups for material availability, and supports management in capacity planning and production forecasting to ensure smooth and cost-effective plant operations.
