Job Summary
We are seeking a versatile Modular Carpenter to handle the end-to-end process of furniture production—from the factory floor to the final client installation. You will be responsible for operating high-end machinery and ensuring that the finished product is installed with the highest level of craftsmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Machine Operation: Expertly operate and maintain the following industrial machines:
- Panel Saw: Precision cutting of boards based on optimized cutting lists.
- Edge Bander: Applying edge tapes with seamless finishing and trimming.
- Boring Machine: Drilling accurate holes for hardware, dowels, and assembly.
- Factory Assembly: Pre-assembling modular carcasses, drawers, and shutters to verify fit and quality.
- On-Site Installation: Leading the installation of modular kitchens, wardrobes, and storage units at client sites.
- Troubleshooting: Identifying and fixing any alignment or sizing issues during the installation phase.
- Hardware Integration: Expertly installing hardware from brands like Hettich, Blum, or Hafele (hinges, tandem boxes, and lift-up systems).
Technical Requirements
- Equipment Proficiency: Prior experience operating a [Insert Brand Name, e.g., Homag / Biesse / Felder] Panel Saw and Edge Bander is highly preferred.
- Measurement Accuracy: Ability to work with $1mm$ tolerance levels.
- Travel: Must be willing to travel to various project sites for installation as required.
- Tools: Must be proficient with hand tools (cordless drills, plunges saws, levels) used during site installations.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 3+ years in a modular furniture environment.
- Physical Ability: Must be able to handle heavy panels and work on-site in various environments.
- Communication: Ability to interact professionally with clients during the installation process.
