Position Summary
Amity University is seeking an experienced and dynamic Head – HR Operations to lead and manage end-to-end HR operations . The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring seamless HR service delivery, employee lifecycle management, HR process excellence, and digital transformation while leading the HR operations team. The role demands a strategic HR professional who can drive operational efficiency, standardization, and continuous improvement in a complex, multi-stakeholder academic environment.
Key Responsibilities
HR Operations Management
- Ensure efficient execution of the employee lifecycle including onboarding, confirmations, transfers, promotions, separations, and exit formalities.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve HR policies, SOPs, and operational frameworks.
- Drive process standardization and automation to improve service delivery and operational efficiency.
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and manage a large HR operations team
- Ensure capability development and succession planning within the HR team.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, confidentiality, and MIS reporting.
Payroll & Employee Records
- Coordinate with payroll, finance, and compliance teams for timely salary processing.
- Ensure maintenance of accurate employee records and documentation.
- Monitor HR audits and data governance practices.
Employee Services
- Deliver best-in-class employee experience through responsive HR operations.
- Resolve employee queries related to HR processes, benefits, documentation, and policies within defined service levels.
- Strengthen employee service delivery through process improvements.
Stakeholder Management
- Partner with academic leaders, department heads, and corporate functions to address operational HR requirements.
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Compensation & Benefits, Finance, Legal, and Administration to ensure integrated HR service delivery.
Reporting & Analytics
- Prepare HR dashboards, workforce analytics, operational metrics, and management reports.
- Analyze HR data to identify trends and recommend process improvements.
- Present operational insights to senior leadership.
- Promote innovation, efficiency, and service excellence.
Eligibility Criteria
Education
- MBA in Human Resources, Personnel Management, or equivalent from a recognized institution.
- Additional certifications in HR Analytics, HRIS, Labour Laws, Six Sigma, or Project Management will be an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 10 years of progressive HR experience, with significant expertise in HR Operations.
- At least 5 years in a leadership role managing a large HR operations team.
Required Competencies
- Strong knowledge of HR operations and employee lifecycle management.
- Expertise in HRIS, ERP systems, and HR automation.
- In-depth understanding of Indian labour laws and statutory compliance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills.
- Project management and change management expertise.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
