Role description
Senior Developer
Role purpose: Deliver complex development, defect remediation, API/service enhancements, root-cause analysis, and production support for Java Spring and AWS-based applications within the Resort Sales portfolio.
- Analyze, design, code, and unit test minor enhancements, business rule changes, API updates, and integration fixes.
- Perform deep technical troubleshooting for incidents involving Java services, API payloads, logs, downstream dependencies, database interactions, and cloud-hosted components.
- Support production deployments, rollback planning, smoke testing, and post-release validation.
- Mentor developers, assist QA with test scenarios, and participate in code reviews and technical walkthroughs.
- Contribute to RCA documentation, problem management, automation scripts, monitoring improvements, and technical debt remediation.
- Ensure adherence to security, coding, logging, performance, and supportability standards.
Required skills and experience: 7+ years of Java/J2EE or Java Spring development experience, strong REST/SOAP API experience, SQL/database troubleshooting knowledge, AWS exposure, Git/CI-CD familiarity, production support experience, and ability to work in a 24×7 support environment.
