Job Title: Assistant Manager – Production
Salary: ₹40,000 – ₹50,000 per month
Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Assistant Manager – Production with a strong background in machining operations and production planning. The candidate will be responsible for managing shop-floor activities, optimizing production processes, and ensuring quality and efficiency in manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle programming and setup of CNC, VMC, and HMC machines
- Supervise daily production activities and ensure targets are achieved
- Plan and develop manufacturing processes, including selection of tools, jigs, and fixtures
- Optimize cycle time and implement productivity improvement initiatives
- Perform line balancing to ensure efficient workflow
- Prepare and maintain PPAP documentation as per quality standards
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions
- Coordinate with quality and maintenance teams to ensure smooth operations
Required Qualifications:
- BE in Mechanical Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (DME)
Experience:
- 10 to 12 years of experience as a Production Supervisor or in a similar role
- Hands-on experience in CNC / VMC / HMC programming and machine setup
Key Skills:
- Strong knowledge of machining processes and production planning
- Experience in tooling (jigs, fixtures, cutting tools)
- Cycle time reduction and process optimization
- Line balancing and lean manufacturing concepts
- Knowledge of PPAP documentation and quality systems
- Good leadership and problem-solving skills
