Role Overview:
The Communications Strategy Director will provide strategic communications planning, execution support, and account management across multiple key clients.
This position will work closely with the onshore Communications Lead and Sr Communications team members, with particular emphasis on maintaining and growing relationships with our largest retained accounts.
Responsibilities:
Roles & Responsibilities:
Client Portfolio (Primary Focus)

Lead strategic communications planning for the brand portfolio which includes healthcare and pharma clients.

Provide director-level communications support to ensure account retention and satisfaction

Execute hot briefs

Support global pitch initiatives and strategic communications

Collaborate with Comms Lead on enterprise-level account oversight
Cross-Account Support

Provide secondary strategic support across account portfolio as needed

Contribute to GMI strategic initiatives and planning

Support new business pitches and proposal development

Participate in team-wide strategic planning and methodology development
Strategic Planning & Execution

Develop comprehensive communications strategies aligned with client objectives

Create strategic briefs, plans, and communications frameworks

Manage project timelines, deliverables, and quality assurance
-
Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape
-
Collaborate with Comms Lead on account planning and resource allocation
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications
Essential Requirements
-
7+ years in communications planning, strategy, or related agency/inhouse experience
-
Proven experience managing complex, multi-brand portfolios
-
Strong strategic planning and campaign development expertise
-
Experience with pharmaceutical, healthcare, or consumer goods brands (preferred)

Project management and deadline-driven delivery capabilities
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-
Ability to present strategic recommendations to senior leadership
Preferred Qualifications

Experience in OTC pharmaceutical or consumer health communications

Global campaign coordination and multi-market strategy

Digital/social media integra-on with traditional comms strategies

Client relationship management and account stewardship

Team leadership or mentoring experience

Knowledge of healthcare compliance and marketing regulations

Time zone coverage should support client communications and some onshore team collaboration

Strong communication skills (written and verbal) required

Reliability and accountability in project delivery

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Familiarity with project management tools and remote collaboration platforms
