Job Summary
NorthStar Academy is looking for a motivated Business Development Executive to join its team in Koramangala, Bangalore. The role involves counselling students, handling sales leads, explaining professional finance certification programs, and converting prospective students into admissions.
The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills, a customer-focused approach, and an interest in sales, business development, or education counselling.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle inbound and outbound calls from prospective students.
- Understand students' educational backgrounds, career goals, and requirements.
- Counsel students and recommend suitable professional courses such as CMA, CPA, ACCA, EA, and CFA.
- Explain course structure, eligibility, examinations, career opportunities, and program benefits.
- Follow up with leads through calls, WhatsApp, website enquiries, webinars, and other channels.
- Identify student requirements, address objections, and support the admission decision.
- Convert qualified leads into successful admissions.
- Maintain regular follow-ups throughout the admission process.
- Achieve monthly sales and admission targets.
- Maintain accurate lead details, call notes, follow-up schedules, and student status in the CRM.
- Use CRM platforms such as NeoDove, LeadSquared, Freshsales, or similar tools.
- Assist students during the admission and onboarding process.
- Build positive relationships with prospective and enrolled students.
- Stay updated about professional finance and accounting certifications and industry opportunities.
- Understand competitor offerings and effectively communicate the academy's programs and advantages.
Requirements
- 0–2 years of experience in Inside Sales, Business Development, Academic Counselling, EdTech Sales, or a similar role.
- Freshers with strong communication and sales skills may also be considered.
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency in English and at least one regional language.
- Strong convincing, negotiation, and objection-handling skills.
- Ability to understand customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Comfortable making calls and following up with prospective students.
- Target-oriented and self-motivated.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, sales-driven environment.
- Basic knowledge of CRM tools is an advantage.
Salary & Incentives
- Fixed Salary: ₹2,00,000 – ₹4,00,000 per year
- Performance Incentives: Up to ₹30,000 per month

Work Conditions
- Work from office in Koramangala, Bangalore.
- 6 working days per week, including weekends.
- Working hours: 10:00 AM – 7:30 PM.
- There is no fixed weekend off.
- Paid leave is not permitted during the first 30 days of employment.
- During the training period, leave is not permitted. If leave is taken during training, the formal joining date may be postponed accordingly.
