Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Milling Machine Operator to operate conventional milling machines and manufacture precision components as per engineering drawings. The candidate should have good knowledge of machining processes, measuring instruments, and quality standards.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Operate conventional milling machines to produce components as per drawings.
- Set up workpieces, cutting tools, and machine parameters.
- Read and interpret engineering and manufacturing drawings.
- Perform face milling, slot milling, drilling, and profile milling operations.
- Check dimensions using measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, and Dial Indicator.
- Maintain required quality standards and tolerances.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and housekeeping activities.
- Coordinate with Production and Quality teams to meet delivery schedules.
- Identify and report machining issues to the supervisor.
- Follow safety procedures and company guidelines.
Required Skills
- Experience in Conventional Milling Machine Operation.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings.
- Knowledge of machining processes and cutting tools.
- Familiarity with measuring instruments.
- Understanding of tolerances and quality standards.
- Good problem-solving and machine setup skills.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in SPM Automation, Tool Room, Precision Engineering, or Manufacturing Industry.
- Experience of fixture and jig handling is an added advantage.
