Steer World is seeking a high-calibre EPZ Portfolio & Proposal Head to lead our Elements, Peripherals, and Zero-Error Spares (EPZ) business. You will be the strategic architect of our "Route-to-Market" strategy, bridging the gap between high-end engineering and commercial excellence. This is not a traditional sales role; it is a business leadership position focused on optimizing pricing, enhancing proposal conversion, and scaling a global portfolio of over 500+ customers.
- Commercial Strategy & Conversion: Partner with PAN India and global sales teams to drive proposal closures. You will own the "Last Mile" of the commercial bid, ensuring technical accuracy and high win rates.
- Pricing & Profitability: Define and implement dynamic pricing strategies. You will manage commercial structuring, payment terms, and margin optimization across diƯerent geographies.
- Key Account Management (KAM): Act as the senior commercial lead for strategic/global accounts, ensuring long-term value creation and retention.
- Strategic Demand Planning: Collaborate with supply chain and manufacturing to drive a "Stocking Strategy." You will ensure that demand planning aligns with market growth to minimize lead times.
- Market Intelligence: Conduct deep-dive analysis on competitor movement, market share, and "white space" opportunities to steer the portfolio toward highgrowth segments.
- Cross-Functional Anchorage: Serve as the central point of truth between Technical/Product teams and the Front-end Sales force.
- Education: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Polymer, or Production Engineering.
- Experience: 12–18 years of experience, with a clear career arc moving from Technical/Design/Product roles into Business Development/Commercial Leadership.
- Industry Context: Proven track record in industrial consumables, high-precision engineering components, pumps, or complex systems (e.g., Bearings, Seals, Valves).
- Scale: Experience managing a business with a wide customer base (500+) and a high volume of transactions.
- Mindset: You thrive in high-growth environments where you must influence stakeholders without direct reporting lines.
