We operate forging hammers, friction presses, induction billet heaters, and allied plant equipment. We need an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to keep all electrical systems running reliably, minimize breakdowns, and reduce energy costs.
Key Responsibilities
- Preventive and breakdown maintenance of all plant electrical equipment — motors, panels, drives (VFDs), induction billet heaters, compressors, cranes/hoists, and lighting
- Attend breakdowns promptly across shifts to minimize production downtime; maintain breakdown logs and root-cause records
- Maintain HT/LT systems, transformers, DG sets, and power factor correction (capacitor banks)
- Monitor power consumption and support energy-efficiency initiatives (heater efficiency, load management during peak/power-cut hours)
- Plan and execute preventive maintenance schedules; maintain spares inventory for critical electrical items
- Coordinate with electricity board/utility for supply issues, sanctioned load, and metering
- Ensure electrical safety compliance — earthing, insulation testing, statutory inspections, and safe work permits
- Supervise electricians and outside contractors; train operators on basic electrical dos and don'ts
Requirements
- Diploma or B.Tech in Electrical Engineering
- 3–8 years' maintenance experience in a forging, foundry, rolling mill, or heavy engineering plant preferred
- Hands-on with induction heating systems, VFDs, motor starters, and control panel troubleshooting
- Knowledge of HT/LT distribution, DG sets, and power factor management
- Electrical supervisor licence preferred
- Willingness to work in shifts and attend emergency breakdowns
Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
