About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Senior WordPress Developer who can independently handle WordPress projects from planning and development to deployment and maintenance. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in WordPress architecture, custom theme and plugin development, WooCommerce, and server management.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain WordPress websites from planning to deployment.
- Build custom WordPress themes and plugins based on project requirements.
- Configure and manage WooCommerce stores and plugin integrations.
- Integrate third-party APIs, CRMs, payment gateways, and marketing tools.
- Manage hosting, AWS, DNS, SSL, migrations, backups, and deployments.
- Optimize websites for speed, Core Web Vitals, SEO, and security.
- Ensure responsive, mobile-friendly, and cross-browser compatible websites.
- Maintain clean, scalable, and secure code following WordPress best practices.
- Collaborate with design, SEO, and marketing teams to deliver high-quality websites.
Required Skills & Experience
- 4+ years of hands-on WordPress development experience.
- Strong proficiency in PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, MySQL, and WordPress architecture.
- Experience developing custom WordPress themes and plugins.
- Experience managing WooCommerce websites.
- Experience with API integrations, payment gateways, CRM, and third-party services.
- Familiarity with AWS, cPanel, FTP, Git, DNS, SSL, and server management.
- Knowledge of technical SEO, website performance optimization, and Core Web Vitals.
- Familiarity with Shopify and other CMS platforms is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Headless WordPress.
- Experience with React or Next.js integrations.
- Experience with Elementor, Gutenberg, or other page builders.
- Familiarity with Shopify and other CMS platforms.
- Experience working in a digital agency or e-commerce environment.
