Key Responsibilities
1. System Architecture & Design
-
Lead the design of display subsystems for complex embedded platforms (e.g., automotive clusters, IVI, HMIs, consumer electronics).

Evaluate LVDS, MIPI-DSI, eDP, or similar interfaces and choose optimal architecture based on bandwidth, cost, EMI, and performance constraints.

Help the teams to debug the field issues related to Display complete blackout, partial blackout and temporary blackout scenarios.
2. Hardware-Software Integration
-
Work closely with hardware/software engineering to define display timing parameters, power sequencing, and board-level design requirements.

Collaborate with embedded software teams to optimize graphics drivers, display controller initialization, and boot-time behavior.

Define system performance KPIs: frame rate, latency, tearing avoidance, brightness, color accuracy, and thermal behavior.
3. Technology Evaluation & Innovation

Conduct feasibility studies for new display technologies: OLED, mini-LED, micro-LED, TFT, IPS, LTPS, etc.

Evaluate touch and cover-glass technologies for integration impacts.

Drive selection of display modules, TCONs, external display drivers, and serializer/deserializer links.

Benchmark graphics frameworks: OpenGL ES, Vulkan, Qt/QML, Kanzi, Unity, custom compositor pipelines.
4. Safety, Reliability & Compliance

Ensure display system complies with automotive safety standards (ISO 26262), EMC/EMI, and environmental requirements.

Define diagnostics, fault detection, redundancy, and graceful-degradation strategies.

Work with cybersecurity teams to ensure secure communication between display subsystems.
5. Cross-Functional Leadership

Create architecture documents, design guidelines, and system requirement specifications.

Support program management with technical evaluations, risk assessments, and supplier negotiations.

Lead display bring-up, validation, image quality tuning, and performance optimization.
Required Skills & Qualifications
-
Strong understanding of display technologies (LCD/OLED), timing control, color science, luminance curves, and image processing.
-
Expertise in display interfaces: LVDS, MIPI-DSI/CSI-2, FPD-Link, eDP, HDMI.

Familiarity with GPU/Display controllers: ARM Mali, Imagination, Qualcomm, Renesas, TI, NXP, Infineon Traveo II, etc.

Experience with embedded systems using ARM Cortex-A/R/M architectures.

Strong knowledge of graphics pipelines, composition engines, shader-based rendering, and memory bandwidth calculation.

Experience with RTOS/Linux/Android-based middleware.

Proficiency in C, C++, display drivers, and debugging tools (Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzer).
Domain Knowledge

Automotive HMI / Instrument Cluster / IVI experience is highly preferred.

Knowledge of ASIL requirements and functional safety design.
Experience

8–15 years of experience in embedded systems, graphics, or display technologies.

At least 3–5 years specifically in display system architecture or lead display engineering.
Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Engineering, or related field.

Experience with display bring-up on automotive MCUs (e.g., Traveo II, Renesas R-Car, NXP i.MX).

Experience with CAN/LIN/Ethernet communication integration for display data.

Understanding of boot-time optimization for fast-boot display systems.
