The company executes turnkey projects across India including cricket grounds, football fields, golf greens, and institutional sports facilities for corporates, schools, stadiums and government bodies.
Role Purpose
To manage and grow a portfolio of key client accounts by serving as the primary point of contact between the client and the company. The Account Manager will drive client satisfaction, retention, and revenue growth by understanding client needs, delivering tailored solutions, coordinating project delivery, and identifying new business opportunities within existing and prospective accounts.
Key Responsibilities
1. Account Management & Client Relations
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned client accounts and manage end-to-end relationships.
- Build long-term partnerships with key stakeholders including facility managers, procurement teams, and decision-makers.
- Conduct regular client meetings, site visits, and reviews to assess satisfaction and project progress.
- Address client queries, complaints, and escalations promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels.
2. Business Development & Revenue Growth
- Identify and pursue upselling and cross-selling opportunities within the existing client base.
- Develop and present proposals, quotations, and commercial offers tailored to client requirements.
- Work with the sales leadership to achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
- Prospect and acquire new accounts in alignment with the company's go-to-market strategy.
3. Project Coordination & Delivery Oversight
- Coordinate with the operations and project management teams to ensure timely and quality delivery of client projects.
- Track project milestones, manage client expectations, and communicate project updates proactively.
- Resolve on-ground delivery issues by acting as a bridge between the client and internal teams.
- Ensure all project documentation, agreements, and handover records are completed accurately.
4. Proposals, Contracts & Commercial Management
- Prepare and submit detailed proposals, scope of work documents, and cost estimates for client projects.
- Negotiate contract terms and commercial agreements in line with company policies and margin guidelines.
- Ensure timely follow-ups on payments, purchase orders, and billing milestones.
- Maintain a tracker of open proposals, renewals, and commercial pipelines.
5. Reporting and updation of CRM Dashboard
- Maintain up-to-date records of all client interactions, opportunities, and account activity in CRM tools.
- Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports on account performance, pipeline, and revenue forecasts.
- Monitor and analyze account metrics including retention rates, satisfaction scores, and wallet share.
- Share market intelligence, client feedback, and competitor insights with the leadership team.
6. Brand Representation & Market Presence
- Represent ST&GE professionally at client meetings, industry events, and exhibitions.
- Coordinate with the marketing team for account-specific collateral, case studies, and presentations.
- Contribute to reference account development and facilitate client testimonials and referrals.
Candidate Profile / Preferences
- Graduate/ post graduate in Accounts/ finance or a related field; MBA preferred.
- 3–7 years of experience in account management, B2B sales, or client servicing roles; experience in infrastructure, construction, or sports industry is an advantage.
- Proven track record of managing key accounts and meeting revenue targets.
- Strong commercial acumen with an ability to prepare proposals and negotiate contracts.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills with a client-first mindset.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings and site visits across India.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English and Hindi.
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and accounting software/ platforms.
Technical Skills Required
- MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint — proficient (must)
- MS Outlook & professional email communication (preferred)
- Tally Prime, SAP, TDS Filing, GST Filing — working knowledge (preferred)
- Google Workspace — Docs, Sheets, Slides (must)
- Proposal preparation and commercial documentation tools (must)
- Basic understanding of project management tools (preferred)
