About the Opportunity
The Senior Academic Secretary is the operational heartbeat of the UWS Bangalore Academic Operations Division. The post-holder will provide high-quality secretarial, administrative, and coordination support to the Director of Academic Operations and the wider academic leadership team, ensuring the smooth and professional functioning of all academic administrative activities within this prestigious Indo-UK dual-award institution.
What You Will Do
Senior Academic Secretary
- Manage the Director's calendar, correspondence, meetings, travel, and official documentation.
- Coordinate academic committees, prepare agendas, minutes, and maintain academic records and compliance documentation

- Liaise with UWS Glasgow, accreditation bodies, industry partners, faculty, and students while maintaining confidentiality.
- Support academic events, inductions, orientations, graduation ceremonies, and oversee day-to-day office administration.
- Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, HR documentation, employee records, and ensure compliance with labour laws and institutional policies.
- Attendance, Payroll & Performance
- Manage attendance, leave, payroll inputs, performance appraisals, probation reviews, and employee confirmations.
- Maintain HR records, support statutory compliance (PF, ESI, Gratuity, POSH), and prepare HR reports and management dashboards.
- Coordinate staff engagement activities, training programmes, professional development, and support annual HR planning and talent management.
What We Are Looking For
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, / English Literature required; master’s degree preferred.
Experience
- 3–7 years Prior experience in an academic institution, corporate office, or professional services secretarial or administrative role is preferred.
- Familiarity with academic administration systems, LMS platforms, or document management tools is desirable
Skills & Attributes
- Advanced MS Office Skills – Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook for professional documentation and reporting.
- Excellent Communication – Strong written and verbal English with expertise in drafting and proofreading official documents.
- Professional Presence – Confident and polished in engaging with senior leaders, stakeholders, and international partners.
- Organisation & Time Management – Efficiently manages multiple priorities while meeting deadlines with accuracy.

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹65,000.00 per month
