ABOUT THE COMPANY:
Ramgarh Sponge Iron Pvt Ltd, part of the MP Rungta Group,
is setting up a world-class DRI (Direct Reduced Iron) and
Power Plant facility in Madhya Pradesh. We are building a
high-performance team to drive this project from
construction through commissioning and operations.
ROLE SUMMARY:
The AGM / Sr. Manager – DRI Project Mechanical will serve
as Head of Mechanical Engineering for the DRI project,
leading all mechanical activities from detailed engineering
review through erection, commissioning, and maintenance
framework establishment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead all mechanical engineering activities across
erection, commissioning, and maintenance phases
- Review and approve mechanical drawings, equipment
layouts, GA drawings, P&IDs, and technical data sheets
- Oversee erection and alignment of rotary kiln, cooler,
RMHS, WHRB, ESP/Bag Filter, and bulk material
handling systems
- Plan and execute pre-commissioning and commissioning
trials; own punch-list management through to handover
- Establish preventive and predictive maintenance
framework for all rotating and static equipment
- Evaluate technical bids for mechanical equipment;
manage mechanical contractors for quality and schedule
- Lead and develop the mechanical team: Sr. Engineers,
Engineers, GET/DET, Foreman, and Fitters
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis for equipment failures
- Ensure strict HSE and Permit to Work compliance
- Coordinate with civil, electrical, and instrumentation
teams for integrated project milestone delivery
QUALIFICATIONS:
- B.E. or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- Must be from a Government Institute, NIT, or Reputed
Private Engineering College
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- 8 to 10 years in Mechanical Engineering
- Must be from DRI Plant / Sponge Iron Plant /
Integrated Steel Plant / Power Plant
- End-to-end project experience (erection to
commissioning) in DRI/Sponge Iron strongly preferred
KEY SKILLS:
- DRI/Sponge Iron plant mechanical systems — rotary
kiln, cooler, RMHS, WHRB, ESP
- Equipment alignment, precision fitting, and balancing
- Rotating equipment maintenance — fans, pumps,
conveyors, gearboxes, crushers
- Commissioning and trial run management
- Mechanical drawing and P&ID interpretation
- Hydraulic and pneumatic systems knowledge
- Team leadership and contractor management
- Root Cause Analysis and reliability engineering
