Job Summary
The Research Associate will support the research, development, testing, and optimization of NTC (Negative Temperature Coefficient) thermistors. The role involves conducting experiments, analyzing material and electrical properties, developing prototypes, and contributing to innovative temperature-sensing solutions. The candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance product performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on ceramic and semiconductor materials used in NTC thermistor manufacturing.
- Design, execute, and document experiments related to material formulation, processing, and product development.
- Develop and evaluate NTC thermistor prototypes to meet performance and reliability requirements.
- Perform electrical, thermal, and environmental testing of thermistors and analyze test results.
- Characterize materials and components using laboratory and analytical instruments.
- Collect, interpret, and present experimental data through technical reports and presentations.
- Maintain detailed laboratory records, research documentation, and test reports.
- Investigate product failures and support root cause analysis for performance improvement.
- Monitor advancements in thermistor technology, materials science, and temperature-sensing applications.
- Collaborate with Production, Quality Assurance, and Engineering teams during product development and scale-up activities.
- Assist in the development and validation of manufacturing processes for new products.
- Ensure compliance with laboratory safety procedures, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Support patent searches, technical literature reviews, and innovation initiatives within the R&D department.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Materials Science, Ceramic Engineering, or a related field.
- 0–3 years of experience in R&D, materials development, electronics components, or thermistor-related research.
- Fresh graduates with strong academic projects in materials or sensor technologies may also apply.
Required Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of chemical properties, composition, and material characterization
- Thermal/Electrical Simulation
- Familiarity with laboratory testing instruments and data analysis tools.
- Understanding of Industry Standards
- Knowledge of temperature sensing technologies and semiconductor materials.
- Work collaboratively in R&D and production environments.
