Company: PACCAR
PACCAR India is seeking an experienced Finite Element Analyst responsible for analysing commercial vehicle systems and subsystems using LS-DYNA and RADIOSS.
Join a dynamic, high-performing team where innovation, collaboration, and a passion for excellence drive success. At PACCAR India, we are committed to making our work engaging, meaningful, and impactful, while prioritizing safety, health, and well-being. Inclusion and diversity are integral to our culture—reflected in our values, vision, and ambitious goals.
We are currently looking to hire a skilled FEA Engineer to join our Pune, India team.
Key Responsibilities:
Simulation & Analysis (Core Technical Focus)
Execute comprehensive FEA analysis across components, assemblies, and full-vehicle platforms using industry-standard tools, with primary expertise in explicit solvers (LS-DYNA, RADIOSS) and secondary proficiency in implicit solvers (ABAQUS, Optistruct).
Develop and validate explicit dynamic models for impact, crash, drop-test, and high-velocity deformation scenarios.
Perform static and quasi-static implicit analyses to support baseline and pre/post-explicit analysis comparisons.
Support model setup, meshing, and post-processing activities using HyperMesh/HyperView or similar tools
Collaborate with simulation teams globally and support to define data acquisition plan, review measured data and provide simulation feedback.
Own multi-project execution end-to-end, coordinating resources, managing dependencies, and ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery.
Synthesize simulation results into clear, compelling narratives for engineering stakeholders at all levels.
Deliver evidence-based design recommendations with quantified trade-offs and risk assessments
Technical Competencies:
Coordinate with stakeholders to define structural FEA analysis requirements for PACCAR products.
Possess knowledge of crash simulation using LS-DYNA in accordance with regulatory standards such as FMVSS, NHTSA, IIHS, Euro NCAP standards.
Support test planning activities as needed to validate simulation models and ensure correlation between analysis results and physical test outcomes.
Develop an in-depth understanding of product functionality and architecture, collaborating closely with product development and testing teams.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s / master’s in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering

Expert-level experience with explicit FEA (LS-DYNA, RADIOSS, or similar solvers)
Proficiency in implicit nonlinear FEA (ABAQUS, Optistruct)
Experience with pre/post-processing tools (HyperMesh, HyperView, or equivalent)
Understanding of fatigue and durability analysis methodologies
Experience correlating CAE with test data
