BUILDING MAINTANENCE ENGINEER - JOB DESCRIPTION
A Building Maintenance Engineer ensures the structural, electrical, and mechanical
systems of a facility operate safely and efficiently. They perform preventive maintenance,
troubleshoot equipment, and manage repairs for plumbing, HVAC, and life safety systems to keep
the building compliant and operational. This role supports a safe and conducive learning
environment by maintaining building systems and responding promptly to maintenance
needs.
Responsibilities
Inspect, evaluate, repair, and maintain plumbing, electrical, RO plant operation and
Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning systems across the institution’s buildings.
Perform preventive maintenance, routine services and inspections to minimize
downtime and disruptions.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
Responsible for scheduling, manpower planning, and budgeting to ensure efficient
building maintenance operations and optimal resource utilization.
Monitor building infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, safety, and regulatory
compliance.
Coordinate with the Facilities Management team to arrange external contractors or
specialist services when required.
Receive, assess, and respond promptly to maintenance requests from faculty, staff,
and students.
Operate and maintain tools, equipment, and supplies necessary to complete assigned
tasks efficiently and safely.
Ensure strict adherence to institutional safety policies, corporate procedures, and
access control regulations at all times.
Experience:
5-7 years of experience in Civil and MEP works
Any UG Degree
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
