Job Description:
Crowe is looking to hire a Senior Software Engineer in our Product Engineering practice. This resource will play a senior engineering role for a Scrum team that is responsible for enhancing and maintaining the Insight product that is leveraged by the Audit practice to deliver Crowe’s Audit services.
This individual should have a passion for software development, innovation, and experience working within an Agile Scrum team. The following job responsibilities apply to this position:
- Partner with the Crowe’s Insight program team to design, build, implement, and support the Insight product which is built on a Microsoft focused technology stack. Insight utilizes the following technologies: .NET Core, MVC, Web API, React, TypeScript, Kendo UI, Bootstrap, Entity Framework Core, SQL Server, and SharePoint Online.
- Apply Azure services, e.g. App Services, Functions, WebJobs, CDN, Service Bus, SignalR, Key Vault, Azure Monitor, Redis, SendGrid, Data Factory, and SQL Managed Instance, to meet business requirements.
- Collaborate with the team to refine requirements.
- Consult with team and Architect to gain consensus on architectural approaches.
- Embrace a Shift Left mindset and weave quality early into the development lifecycle.
- Work with the team to proactively address impediments and meet sprint objectives.
- Help establish, review, and enforce software development practices and architectures.
- Use AI coding assistants to accelerate the rate at which you, and your team, deliver value.
- Troubleshoot product issues quickly and efficiently.
Qualifications: (Include years of experience):
Qualifications
- 6+ years of full stack engineering experience developing, implementing and supporting enterprise web applications using the Microsoft .NET stack, including ASP.NET, Web API, MVC, React or Angular, SQL Server, and Entity Framework within n-tier architectures.
- Strong grounding in object-oriented programming (OOP).
- Experience applying inversion of control and unit testing to deliver a loosely coupled, quality focused architecture.
- Experience leveraging Azure DevOps (or similar) for work item management and Git for version control.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across disciplines.
- Experience conducting code reviews and collaborating on solution improvements.
- Experience leveraging an AI coding assistant (e.g., GitHub Copilot or Claude Code) to accelerate development.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
Other Preferred Qualifications:
- Preferred experience with Azure.
- Preferred experience building AI backed business features or agents.
- Preferred experience with SharePoint development.
