Job Description:
As a General Manager - Business Development, you will be responsible for driving strategic business growth in the fermentation industry. Leveraging your extensive experience in the field, you will play a key role in developing and implementing business strategies, establishing partnerships, and expanding market presence.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies to achieve company goals.

Identify and pursue new business opportunities, markets, and potential collaborations.

Foster and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, clients, and partners.

Lead negotiations and contract development for strategic collaborations.

Independently identify opportunities and reach out to companies to set up contract work, from CT's all the way to regular contract manufacturing.

Demonstrate international experience, understanding global markets, and cultivating international partnerships.

Drive revenue growth and profitability through effective business development initiatives.

Manage a P&L account, focusing on sales and profit growth.

Provide leadership and direction to the business development team.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.
Qualifications and Experience:

PhD in Microbiology/Biochemistry with 10 to 15 years of experience in the fermentation industry.

Proven track record of successful business development and revenue generation.

Strong understanding of fermentation processes, microbial systems, and related technologies.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Leadership experience with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.

Experience in contract manufacturing in the fermentation industry.
