Roles and Responsibilities:
- Prepare the bronchoscopy suite before procedures.
- Inspect, assemble, and test bronchoscopy equipment, including video systems, light source, suction apparatus, and accessories.
- Ensure proper cleaning, high-level disinfection, and storage of bronchoscopes according to infection control guidelines.
- Assist the pulmonologist during diagnostic and therapeutic bronchoscopy procedures.
- Prepare and pass instruments such as biopsy forceps, cytology brushes, needles, and retrieval devices.
- Collect, label, and transport specimens accurately to the laboratory.
- Assist in patient preparation, positioning, and post-procedure care in coordination with the nursing team.
- Maintain aseptic technique and adhere to infection prevention and biomedical waste management protocols.
- Monitor equipment performance and report malfunctions promptly.
- Maintain inventory of bronchoscopy consumables, accessories, and emergency supplies.
- Complete documentation related to equipment reprocessing, maintenance, and procedure support.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with hospital policies and accreditation standards.
Desired candidate profile:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Operation Theatre Technology (OTT), Respiratory Therapy.
- 0–5 years of experience in bronchoscopy.
- Knowledge of bronchoscopy equipment and accessories.
- Understanding of respiratory anatomy and physiology.
Pay: ₹14,086.00 - ₹36,325.85 per month
