Key Roles & Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with all Central, State, and Local laws applicable to the company.
- Monitor changes in labour laws, factory laws, food safety regulations, taxation, and commercial laws.
- Maintain legal compliance records and statutory registers.
- Advise management on legal implications of business decisions.
- Ensure compliance with:
- FSSAI Regulations
Coordinate with QA and Production departments regarding legal compliance.
- Food Safety Standards
- Packaging & Labelling Regulations
- Consumer Protection laws
- Weights & Measures requirements
- Product recall procedures
- Food licensing requirements
- Coordinate with external advocates.
- Prepare legal briefs.
- Attend court proceedings where required.
- Handle civil, criminal, labour, consumer, and commercial cases.
- Track ongoing litigation.
- Maintain case records and legal documents.
- Trademark Registration
- Trademark Renewal
- Copyright protection
- Brand name protection
- Packaging protection
- Prevent misuse of company trademarks.
- Qualifications
- LL.B. (Mandatory)
- LL.M. (Preferred)
- Company Secretary qualification (Added advantage)
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in manufacturing, FMCG, food industry, or retail legal functions.
