· Responsible for planning training schedule for staff on their assigned duties and quality management system with consultation of Laboratory Director in absence of Quality manager
· Responsible for regular maintenance of laboratory equipments.
· Responsible for regular monitoring of temperature & humidity of the lab atmosphere and also of the relevant equipments and record the same in the respective formats.
· Responsible for validating test reagent and control materials prior to test.
· Responsible for maintaining stock register and indent the reagents and other materials accordingly and also to prevent the use of expired reagents.
· Responsible for preparation of quality control materials for testing as per manufacturer's recommendation.
· Responsible for testing quality control materials as per schedule.
· Responsible for calibration of the test parameters as and when required.
· Responsible for sample processing prior to test.
· Responsible for checking integrity of the samples before testing.
· Responsible for testing patient samples as per standard method.
· Responsible for maintaining records of quality control and test results.
· Responsible for sample storage as per given criteria after completion of the test.
· Responsible for testing EQAS samples as and when required.
· Responsible for verifying the test results before releasing the final report to the patient.
· Responsible for informing critical results to the concerned person and record the same in the register.
· Responsible for carrying out a range of other support duties for the laboratory.
