Job Summary
The Senior Academic Counsellor is responsible for guiding prospective students in selecting suitable educational programs, achieving admission targets, mentoring junior counsellors, and ensuring a high-quality counselling experience from inquiry to enrollment.
Key Responsibilities
- Counsel prospective students and parents regarding courses, universities, career opportunities, and admission requirements.
- Understand students' academic backgrounds and career goals to recommend suitable programs.
- Handle walk-in, phone, email, WhatsApp, and online inquiries professionally.
- Convert leads into admissions while consistently achieving monthly enrollment targets.
- Conduct follow-ups with prospective students and maintain accurate records in the CRM.
- Explain course fees, scholarships, payment options, and admission procedures.
- Coordinate with the admissions team to ensure timely document collection and application processing.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with students throughout the admission journey.
- Organize seminars, webinars, education fairs, and promotional events.
- Mentor, train, and support junior academic counsellors to improve their performance.
- Monitor individual counsellor performance and provide regular coaching and feedback.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales and counselling reports.
- Ensure excellent customer service and maintain high student satisfaction.
- Stay updated on university offerings, visa regulations, and industry trends.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (Master's degree is an advantage).
- 3–5+ years of experience in academic counselling, education consultancy, or admissions.
- Proven track record of achieving admission or sales targets.
- Experience leading or mentoring a counselling team is preferred.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
