At Max Life Insurance, we believe in comprehensiveness and always staying ahead of the industry. To enable this, we have carved out a new role, which is more dynamic and Digital Product Manager. The Product Manager role is an amalgamation of Digital Product Management and Technology roles so that the individual gets to grow, learn and contribute in both the pillars of the product. This role is like a mini-CEO role, and the person will be responsible solely for the product from brick to building. This person with strong AI understanding who can conceptualize, design, and deliver AI‑first products. The ideal candidate will combine product thinking, customer empathy, and AI/ML fundamentals to build intelligent, scalable, and responsible solutions from ideation to launch.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Identify opportunities where AI can create measurable customer and business value
DefineAI‑first design principles (automation, personalization, prediction, decision intelligence)
Partner with business teams to define business requirements to meet the product objectives. Ensure requirements are within our business standards and guidelines and align to our business strategy and objectives.
User Understanding: Conduct in-depth user research, interviews, and data analysis to understand seller needs, pain points, and workflows deeply. Translate these insights into compelling product requirements
Feature Definition Prioritization: Own the entire product lifecycle from ideation to launch and iteration. Define detailed user stories, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria. Prioritize features based on business value, technical feasibility, and user impact.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, design, and QA teams throughout the product development process, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality features. Facilitate effective communication and problem-solving within the team
Performance Monitoring Optimization: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for the seller app, monitor product performance post-launch, and iterate based on data-driven insights. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement
Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate product updates, progress, and challenges to internal stakeholders, including leadership, marketing, sales, and support teams.
Market Competitor Analysis: Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and competitor offerings to identify opportunities and threats.
A/B Testing Experimentation: Design and execute A/B tests and other experiments to validate hypotheses and optimize features.
Transform Business requirements/ask into user stories.
Owning/Partnering with the technology team for the implementation of digital tools (a mobile app for sales, an app for operations, an application for employees, or a completely new tool)
Creating and owning the product roadmap to implement new features, enhancing existing features or sun-setting redundant features
Involved in creating a prototype and ensuring that the product is tested for technical robustness
Communicate, collaborate, and negotiate with key stakeholders (business groups, control groups etc.)
Manage, groom, and prioritize the scrum’s backlog and work with the team to plan for delivery
Be accountable for scrum team deliverables and KPIs. Monitor and measure progress on user story delivery and sprint team velocity. Review metrics to measure value and identify opportunities for improvement.
Building an adoption strategy of Digital products and driving adoption across business teams by running analytics, sending out periodic updates on the progress
Work together with the Marketing team and build communications to be shared with on-the-field people
Study the digital solution performance on the field, identify the user issues, and get the technical issues sorted
Look at industry trends and customer feedback to brainstorm on features.
Work with operations and technical teams to research and resolve production issues. Clarify ambiguities and customer experience based on business requirements and product objectives. Market Skills and Certifications

Key competencies/skills required
6-9 years of experience in one or a combination of the following: digital customer experience, digital product/program management, digital platforms, or digital consulting
Experience in product management/development, program management, strategy, marketing and/or related position in a consumer-oriented, technology-dependent environment in financial services or related industries
Should have worked on Agile Methodologies with exposure to tools like Jira etc.
- Understanding of mobile and web application technologies
- Understanding on API’s, have worked on API integrations projects.
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a Tier 1 or 2 college. MBA from a Tier 1 or 2 Institute is preferred.
