We at Azim Premji Foundation are working to improve the health of underserved communities living in urban settlements of Bengaluru.
Since 2022, we have started an integrated community health program across 5 clusters in Bengaluru. At each location, we have our Health Centre and a team of Community Health Workers.
- Community Health Workers support the community on health awareness and health education, community-level screening, follow-ups.
- The Health Centres (with a team of doctors, nurses, a pharmacist and a lab technician) provide primary health services.

- Engage with the frontline health workers such as MOs, HIOs, ANMs, and ASHAs to understand their challenges in delivery of health services and support in addressing them.
- Assess capacity building and other programmatic needs towards strengthening health services for vulnerable communities.
- Work with the stakeholders at the PHCs to improve the quality of the care at the facility, and referral mechanism.
To succeed in this role, we expect you to have:
- An unwavering commitment to serve urban poor communities, and the resilience to work full-time (6 days a week, Mon-Sat) in an evolving environment.
- Related master’s / postgraduate degree with 3-5 years of on-ground experience working with the public health system and communities.
- Fluency in Kannada and English is essential, as is previous experience working with the public health system in related roles.
