Accountant/Finance Associate

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Indian accounting operations, including Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP).
- Ensure timely filing of TDS returns and compliance with applicable regulations.
- Handle GST return filings, reconciliations, and refund processes.
- Prepare and coordinate Income Tax returns and support statutory audits.
- Oversee compliance with other applicable Indian statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Manage banking compliance, documentation, and data requirements.
- Coordinate with external Chartered Accountants to ensure timely completion of all statutory filings and adherence to compliance deadlines.
- Maintain accurate financial records using Zoho Books; ensure proper bookkeeping and reconciliations.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Qualified CA / CMA or Semi-Qualified CA / CMA with completed articleship (minimum 2–3 years).
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (B.Com/M.Com) from a recognized university.
- 2– 4 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance within the Indian regulatory environment.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience handling finance operations for an export-oriented company (including export documentation, GST refunds, LUT compliance, etc.).
- Strong hands-on experience in Indian taxation, including GST, TDS, Income Tax, and statutory compliance.
- Experience in managing audits (statutory, tax, internal) and liaising with external auditors and consultants.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Zoho Books (preferred), Tally, or equivalent ERP systems.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, reconciliations, banking compliance, and regulatory filings.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and financial analysis tools.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple deadlines, and sound understanding of compliance timelines under Indian law.
