Job Description: CNC/VMC Setter
Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Supplier Quality engineer to ensuring the overall quality of a
manufactured product is free from defects and in compliance with manufacturing,
engineering, and government standards. Coordinate with operations and production teams and
suggest how to improve specific processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Machine Setup: Prepare, set up, and calibrate Vertical Machining Centers to ensure they
are ready for production. This includes tool selection, work piece positioning, and fixture
setup.
Tool Changes: Perform tool changes and adjustments as needed during the machining
process, and maintain tooling inventory.
Quality Control: Monitor the machining process to ensure the quality of parts meets
specifications, and make necessary adjustments as required.
Safety: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
for yourself and colleagues.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of machine setup, tool changes, and
production data.
Problem Solving: Troubleshoot and address any issues that may arise during the
machining process to minimize downtime.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and suggest
solutions for enhanced efficiency and productivity.
Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and CNC programs.
