A Laptop Technician is responsible for inspecting, repairing, upgrading, testing, and preparing laptops for sale or use.
Key responsibilities:
- Disassemble and reassemble laptops safely and professionally.
- Inspect internal components and identify hardware problems.
- Test LCD/display, keyboard, touchpad/mouse, battery, charger, speakers, camera, USB ports, Wi-Fi, and other components.
- Replace faulty or damaged components such as screens, keyboards, batteries, touchpads, RAM, SSDs, etc.
- Install and configure Windows operating systems and required drivers.
- Perform hardware and software testing after repairs.
- Check laptop performance, battery health, display quality, keyboard functionality, and overall condition.
- Run a final quality-control inspection before the laptop is delivered or sold.
- Maintain proper records of repairs, replaced parts, and testing results.
- Ensure laptops are clean, fully functional, and ready for customer use.
In simple terms:
Disassemble → Diagnose → Repair/Replace → Install Windows → Test → Quality Check → Reassemble → Ready for Sale/Use.
