About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Journalist Intern to join our digital editorial team. This internship is ideal for students, fresh graduates, and aspiring journalists who want to gain practical experience in digital journalism, news research, content creation, and online publishing.
The intern will work closely with the editorial team to research, develop, and publish accurate and engaging news content for digital platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and write news stories and articles for digital platforms.
- Monitor current events, breaking news, trending topics, and industry developments.
- Identify relevant and newsworthy stories through online research and credible sources.
- Verify facts and information before submitting stories for publication.
- Write clear, concise, and engaging news content.
- Assist with creating headlines, summaries, and social media copy.
- Adapt news stories into short-form content for social media platforms.
- Assist editors with proofreading, revisions, and updates to published articles.
- Follow editorial guidelines, journalistic standards, and publishing deadlines.
- Stay updated on current trends in digital media and journalism.
Skills & Qualifications
- Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, English, Media Studies, Communications, or a related field.
- Strong interest in journalism, news, digital media, and current affairs.
- Excellent written English and good grammar.
- Strong research and fact-checking abilities.
- Ability to write clear and concise content.
- Good understanding of social media platforms.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to learn and accept editorial feedback.
Preferred Skills
