Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the Accounts team, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all accounting functions.
- Review and supervise GST compliance activities, including GST return filing, GST reconciliations, annual returns, and adherence to GST Act provisions.
- Verify TDS calculations, ensure timely remittance of TDS payments, and oversee filing of TDS returns.
- Manage and approve supplier payments, employee-related payments, statutory payments, and other business-related disbursements.
- Monitor petty cash transactions and ensure proper accounting and control procedures are followed.
- Review vendor and customer reconciliations, ensuring timely resolution of outstanding payables and receivables.
- Coordinate with statutory auditors, tax consultants, and internal stakeholders during accounts finalization, audits, and Income Tax return filing processes.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable statutory requirements, including GST, TDS, PF, ESI, Professional Tax, Labour Welfare Fund, and other regulatory obligations.
- Supervise the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounting transactions, expenses, income, assets, liabilities, and supporting documentation.
- Review general ledger entries and ensure periodic reconciliation of all ledger accounts.
- Oversee invoicing processes, customer collections, accounts receivable management, and follow-up of overdue payments.
- Monitor bank reconciliations and ensure timely identification and resolution of discrepancies.
- Analyze operational expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and recommend measures to improve financial efficiency and internal controls.
- Prepare, review, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, MIS reports, cash flow reports, and management dashboards.
- Establish and monitor accounting processes, internal controls, and financial policies to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
- Provide guidance, training, and performance support to team members while ensuring adherence to organizational policies and accounting standards.
- Coordinate with HR, Procurement, Operations, Logistics, and Administration teams to ensure smooth financial operations and reporting.
- Import and Export Finance Management.
Reporting & Financial Control
- Prepare import-export profitability reports, forex exposure reports, and trade finance utilization reports.
- Monitor cash flows, working capital requirements, and foreign currency obligations.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Assist management in decision-making through accurate financial analysis and reporting.
- Ensure strong internal controls, financial discipline, and adherence to organizational policies.
