Position Overview
We are looking to onboard a Procurement Manager with 5–6 years of experience in capital goods procurement for EPC and industrial projects, preferably in oil & gas, petrochemical, process plants, or energy projects.
The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end procurement of capital equipment, machinery, engineered packages, fabricated systems, and project materials. Experience should be specifically in project/capital goods procurement, rather than routine procurement of raw materials, consumables, or MRO items.
Key Responsibilities
1. Procurement & Vendor Development: Identify and evaluate OEMs, equipment manufacturers, fabricators, and package vendors. Manage RFQs, technical/commercial evaluations, negotiations, and vendor finalization.
2. Capital Equipment Procurement: Manage procurement of machinery, process equipment, equipment packages, skids, fabricated equipment, piping, electrical/instrumentation packages, and other engineered items.
3. Vendor Management & Expediting: Manage POs/contracts and monitor engineering, manufacturing, inspection, testing, and delivery schedules. Proactively resolve vendor and supply-chain issues.
4. Quality & Inspection: Coordinate with engineering, QA/QC, vendors, and inspection agencies for material inspection, FAT, testing, NDT, documentation, and equipment release.
5. Logistics & Reporting: Coordinate equipment dispatch and delivery to site. Maintain procurement trackers, vendor records, cost comparisons, and procurement MIS.
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
· 5–6 years of experience in capital/project procurement within EPC or industrial projects.
· Experience with equipment, machinery, engineered packages, and fabricated items is essential.
· Experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, process plants, energy, or industrial projects preferred.
Required Skills
· Strong understanding of EPC and capital procurement processes
· Experience with OEMs, equipment manufacturers, fabricators, and package vendors
· Ability to understand technical specifications, drawings, datasheets and BOQs
· Strong negotiation, vendor management, expediting, and commercial skills
· Good understanding of inspection, FAT, quality documentation, and project logistics
Pay: ₹80,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
