Key Responsibilities of a Flight Clerk/Manager
- Passenger Service Oversight
- Supervises check‑in, boarding, and in‑flight service activities.
- Ensures passengers receive timely assistance and quality service.
- Catering & Logistics
- Coordinates with flight kitchens for meal preparation and delivery.
- Monitors food safety, dietary requirements, and timely supply to aircraft.
- Documentation & Compliance
- Manages flight records, manifests, and service reports.
- Ensures adherence to aviation safety and airline regulations.
- Staff Supervision
- Oversees flight attendants, clerks, and catering staff.
- Conducts training, performance reviews, and ensures service standards.
- Operational Efficiency
- Handles scheduling, resource allocation, and inventory management.
- Works with suppliers and vendors for smooth operations.
Skills Required
- Strong organizational and multitasking ability – managing multiple flights and teams simultaneously.
- Knowledge of aviation safety regulations – compliance with DGCA/ICAO standards.
- Leadership & communication skills – coordinating between airline staff, catering, and passengers.
- Problem‑solving ability – handling last‑minute changes, delays, or passenger concerns.
- Culinary/catering knowledge (if focused on flight kitchen management) – ensuring food quality and hygiene.
