Maintenance Executive

Position Overview
SAY Rooms & Homes is looking for a skilled and proactive Maintenance Executive to ensure the smooth operation, safety, and upkeep of all hotel facilities and equipment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance, minimizing downtime, and maintaining the property's infrastructure to deliver an exceptional guest experience.
Key Responsibilities1. Preventive & Corrective Maintenance
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance of hotel facilities, including guest rooms, public areas, kitchens, and back-office areas.AC,
- Diagnose and repair electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and civil maintenance issues.
- Attend and resolve maintenance complaints raised by guests and departments promptly.
- Ensure all maintenance work is completed within the prescribed timeline.
2. Equipment & Asset Management
- Maintain all hotel equipment, machinery, and utility systems in proper working condition.
- Monitor the performance of generators, water pumps, air conditioning units, elevators (if applicable), fire safety systems, and other utilities.
- Maintain records of maintenance schedules, repairs, and equipment servicing.
- Coordinate Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC) with external vendors where applicable.
3. Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with hotel safety standards, fire safety regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Conduct regular inspections of fire extinguishers, emergency lighting, and safety equipment.
- Identify potential hazards and take immediate corrective action.
- Follow all health, safety, and environmental guidelines.
4. Facility Management
- Ensure the hotel's infrastructure, furniture, fixtures, and utilities are well maintained.
- Monitor water supply, drainage systems, electrical distribution, and power backup systems.
- Coordinate renovation and repair work with contractors whenever required.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the maintenance workshop and storage areas.
5. Inventory & Cost Control
- Monitor inventory of maintenance tools, spare parts, and consumables.
- Raise purchase requisitions for required materials in coordination with the reporting manager.
- Ensure optimum utilization of resources while controlling maintenance costs.
- Prevent unnecessary wastage of materials and equipment.
6. Coordination & Reporting
- Coordinate with Housekeeping, Front Office, Operations, and other departments to ensure seamless hotel operations.
- Report major maintenance issues and equipment breakdowns to the Operations Manager.
- Prepare daily maintenance reports and maintain service records.
- Support emergency maintenance requirements whenever needed.
Eligibility CriteriaEducational Qualification
- ITI/Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Additional certification in HVAC, Electrical, or Plumbing will be an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in hotel maintenance, facility management, or the hospitality industry.
- Experience in handling hotel engineering operations is preferred.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and civil maintenance.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Basic knowledge of fire safety systems and statutory compliance.

Working Conditions
