Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced AI/ML Engineer – Gen AI to drive the adoption of Generative AI, Agentic AI, LLMs, and traditional Machine Learning across the organization.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience building and deploying AI-powered applications, with expertise in Python or Java, LLMs, Generative AI, Chatbots, Conversational AI, NLP, Agentic AI, MCP, and Strands Agents.
You will work closely with product, architecture, and engineering teams to build scalable, secure, responsible, and production-ready AI solutions, particularly for healthcare use cases.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the responsible adoption of AI/ML, Generative AI, and traditional ML across engineering teams.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and continuously improve AI-powered software solutions.
- Build responsible AI solutions and services that support provider and healthcare communities while meeting ethical and regulatory requirements.
- Develop new features using LLMs, Generative AI, predictive analytics, and intelligent automation.
- Design and implement Chatbots, Conversational AI, and NLP-based solutions.
- Develop and integrate Agentic AI solutions using MCP or similar agent orchestration frameworks.
- Build solutions using Strands Agents and modern agent-based architectures.
- Provide technical leadership for AI/ML initiatives and guide engineering teams on best practices.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, and Engineering Leaders to develop scalable AI solutions.
- Integrate AI capabilities into cloud modernization and digital transformation initiatives.
- Ensure AI solutions align with enterprise AI strategy, business objectives, security standards, and engineering best practices.
- Design and develop web applications and APIs supporting AI/ML services.
- Deploy and operate AI applications in cloud environments, primarily AWS.
- Ensure high standards for software quality, reliability, scalability, security, and operational excellence.
- Implement logging, monitoring, access controls, performance optimization, and disaster recovery practices.
- Mentor and train team members on AI/ML technologies, Generative AI, Agentic AI, and Responsible AI.
- Evaluate emerging AI technologies and identify opportunities to improve engineering productivity and business outcomes.
- Independently prioritize, plan, and manage AI-related projects and deliverables.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
- 6+ years of software engineering experience.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience building AI/ML solutions.
- Strong experience with LLMs, Generative AI, and traditional Machine Learning models.
- 4+ years of experience with Web and API development.
- 4+ years of experience hosting applications in cloud environments, with AWS preferred.
- Strong experience with Chatbots, Conversational AI, and NLP.
- Hands-on experience with Agentic AI, MCP or similar agent orchestration frameworks.
- Experience with Strands Agents.
- Strong programming skills in Python or Java.
- Strong understanding of AI application security, access controls, logging, monitoring, and production operations.
- Experience with performance tuning, scalability, disaster recovery, and highly available production systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
