Job Title : OPT Recruiter
We are looking for a motivated and result-oriented OPT Recruiter to identify, recruit, and place OPT/CPT/F1 candidates and other work-authorized consultants for US IT staffing requirements. The recruiter works closely with candidates, vendors, and account managers to fulfill client requirements while ensuring compliance with US immigration and employment processes. Shall have minimum of 2 years of exclusive experience as a OPT Recruiter.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Source OPT/CPT/F1, STEM OPT, H1B, H4 EAD, GC, and US Citizen candidates through job portals, LinkedIn, referrals, universities, and social media platforms.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline/database of OPT consultants for current and future requirements.
- Screen resumes based on client requirements, technical skills, visa status, and experience level.
- Conduct initial HR screening and coordinate technical interviews with clients or internal teams.
- Guide consultants regarding resume preparation, interview process, project marketing, and onboarding procedures.
- Post job openings on Dice, Monster, CareerBuilder, LinkedIn, Indeed, and other recruitment platforms.
- Coordinate interview scheduling, feedback collection, offer negotiation, and joining formalities.
- Maintain regular follow-ups with consultants regarding project updates, submissions, and placements.
- Work with sales/account managers to understand client requirements and prioritize submissions.
- Maintain candidate records, recruitment trackers, and ATS/CRM updates accurately.
- Ensure compliance with OPT/CPT/H1B visa processes and US staffing policies.
- Build relationships with universities, training institutes, and referral networks for candidate generation.
- Negotiate salary/rates, relocation preferences, and employment terms such as W2, C2C, and 1099.
- Stay updated on trending IT technologies and US job market demands.
Required Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of US IT staffing and OPT/CPT recruitment process
- Understanding of visa types: OPT, CPT, STEM OPT, H1B, H4 EAD, GC, and USC
- Familiarity with job portals such as Dice, Monster, LinkedIn, CareerBuilder, and Indeed
- Basic understanding of IT technologies like Java, .NET, Cloud, DevOps, Data Engineering, QA, etc.
- Experience with ATS/CRM tools
- Negotiation and relationship management skills
- Ability to work in US night shifts and target-driven environments
