Job Summary:
SAP ABAP Senior Consultant with 5-8 years of experience in Brownfield Migration projects including custom code remediation.
- Reports-Create new Classical, Interactive, and ALV Reports. Modify existing Reports and add new logic as per business requirements.
- Module Pool Programming-Develop new dialog programs with custom screens, validations, and navigation logic. Enhance existing module pool programs and fix issues.
- Enhancements-Implement User Exits, Customer Exits, BADIs, and Enhancement Framework. Modify standard SAP logic without modifying core code (implicit/explicit enhancements).
- Interfaces-Develop and maintain inbound and outbound interfaces using BAPI, RFC. Create OData services for integration with Fiori/UI5 applications.
- API Development & Integration-Design and implement custom APIs using SAP Gateway / OData. Consume external REST/SOAP APIs in ABAP using HTTP/REST clients. Handle JSON/XML parsing, authentication (OAuth, Basic Auth), and error logging. Integrate SAP data with third-party systems via APIs securely and efficiently.
- Forms-Develop Smart Forms and Adobe Forms. Enhance layouts and add new fields/logic in existing forms.
- SAP HANA & Advanced ABAP-Create CDS Views, AMDP procedures, and HANA-optimized queries. Implement ABAP OOP principles in custom developments.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration-Work closely with FI/MM/SD/PS functional teams for requirement gathering. Prepare technical specifications and documentation.
- General / Relevant Experience-Exposure to minimum 1 implementation project and 2 support projects. Should have worked on Domestic support projects for significant duration. Work with larger set of stakeholders to arrive at RCA for issues using industry standard impact analysis techniques
Qualifications
- Graduate degree (Science or Engineering) from premier institutes.
- 8+ years of relevant experience in a management or consulting-oriented environment.
- Willingness to travel for short- and long-term durations.
- Strong communication skills (written & verbal).
Location and way of working
- This profile involves occasional travelling to client locations OR this profile does not involve extensive travel for work.
