Job Description
Golchha Computers is looking for an experienced Computer Technician / Hardware Engineer who can diagnose, repair, assemble, upgrade, and troubleshoot computers, laptops, desktops, gaming PCs, and workstations.
The candidate should have strong practical knowledge of computer hardware, basic software troubleshooting, and customer service. This role includes both in-store repair work and customer field visits when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and fix hardware and software issues in desktops, laptops, PCs, and workstations.
- Assemble new PCs, gaming PCs, and workstation systems as per customer requirements.
- Upgrade hardware components such as RAM, SSD, HDD, graphics cards, power supplies, motherboards, and other PC parts.
- Install Windows, drivers, software, and basic applications.
- Troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
- Identify faulty parts and suggest proper repair or replacement solutions.
- Handle in-store repairs and customer service requests.
- Visit customer locations for field support when required.
- Perform basic networking, data backup, system maintenance, and software troubleshooting.
- Explain technical issues and solutions clearly to customers.
Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in computer hardware repair/service.
- Strong knowledge of desktop, laptop, and PC hardware.
- Experience in PC assembling, upgrades, troubleshooting, and component diagnosis.
- Basic knowledge of Windows installation, drivers, software setup, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to identify faulty hardware parts accurately.
- Good communication skills for handling customers professionally.
- Ability to work independently and manage service tasks responsibly.
- Two-wheeler preferred for field visits.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with gaming PCs and workstation assembly.
- Knowledge of printers, networking, data backup, and peripheral troubleshooting.
- Ability to handle customer complaints and service explanations politely.
- Basic understanding of branded desktops, assembled PCs, laptops, and high-performance systems.
