Ensure all hotel equipment, systems, and facilities are operating efficiently.

Monitor the maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, kitchen, laundry, and fire & life safety systems.

Respond promptly to maintenance requests and guest complaints related to engineering issues.

Assist in troubleshooting and repairing equipment breakdowns.

Implement and monitor preventive maintenance schedules for all hotel assets.

Conduct regular inspections of guestrooms, public areas, back-of-house areas, and plant rooms.

Maintain records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.

Ensure compliance with IHG preventive maintenance standards.

Ensure compliance with local safety regulations, fire safety requirements, and environmental standards.

Support emergency response procedures and participate in emergency drills.

Monitor safe work practices and the proper use of tools and equipment.

Ensure all engineering activities comply with hotel policies and IHG operating standards.

Supervise and guide engineering technicians and maintenance staff.

Provide on-the-job training and coaching to team members.

Monitor team performance and ensure tasks are completed efficiently.

Assist in preparing duty rosters and work schedules.

Monitor utility consumption including electricity, water, and fuel.

Identify opportunities to improve energy efficiency and reduce operating costs.

Support sustainability initiatives and environmental programs.

Coordinate with external contractors and service providers for maintenance work.

Supervise contractor activities to ensure quality and safety compliance.

Assist in obtaining quotations and monitoring maintenance-related expenses.

Ensure engineering support is provided promptly to maintain guest satisfaction.

Handle guest maintenance concerns professionally and efficiently.

Support the hotel's commitment to delivering a clean, safe, and comfortable guest experience.

Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or a related technical field.

Technical certifications are an added advantage.

Minimum 3–5 years of engineering/maintenance experience in hotels, hospitality, or commercial facilities.

At least 1–2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
