Job Overview
A leading manufacturer and wholesale distributor of automotive aftermarket engine parts (specializing in cylinder liners) is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector. This role involves executing quality checks, performing dimensional inspections on precision engine components, and ensuring strict adherence to production quality standards across day and night shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Quality Inspection: Perform in-process, incoming, and final dimensional inspections on automotive parts such as cylinder liners and engine components.
- Precision Measurement: Use standard precision measuring instruments (vernier calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, height gauges) to verify technical specifications.
- Defect Identification: Spot, isolate, and document non-conforming or defective parts to prevent scrap and rework.
- Shift Operations: Support quality assurance standards during both day (9 AM–6 PM) and night (6 PM–6 AM) operational shifts as assigned.
- Documentation & Logs: Maintain accurate inspection reports, daily quality logs, and pre-dispatch quality verification records.
- Process Compliance: Coordinate with production teams to address quality issues immediately and enforce shop-floor safety and quality guidelines.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of hands-on quality inspection experience in automotive manufacturing or machine shop environments.
- Technical Knowledge: Proven expertise in reading technical engineering drawings and operating precision measuring tools (Bore Gauges, Micrometers, Calipers).
- Industry Focus: Prior background working with cast iron components, engine parts, or cylinder liners is highly preferred.
- Key Traits: High attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and readiness to work flexible shift schedules.
Pay: ₹8,451.40 - ₹32,046.28 per month
