About the Opportunity:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Video Editor to join our content team and create high-quality videos for our YouTube channels with a combined audience of 15M+ subscribers. SimpleGhar is one of India's largest multi-language tech and home-appliance content networks, helping millions make smarter buying decisions through honest reviews, real-world testing, comparisons, and buying guides. SimpleGhar has built an audience of 14M+ subscribers and generated 20B+ total views across its Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and English channels.
The ideal candidate should have extensive experience editing long-form YouTube content, product reviews, buying guides, educational videos, sponsorship integrations, and high-performing short-form content. They should possess exceptional storytelling skills, advanced motion graphics knowledge, sound design expertise, color grading, pacing, and audience-retention-focused editing techniques. The candidate should also be capable of handling complex editing projects, maintaining high production quality, mentoring junior editors, and ensuring consistency across multiple channels and languages.
What You Will Do:
- Lead the end-to-end editing process for long-form YouTube videos and premium content.
- Transform raw footage into polished, engaging, and professionally finished videos.
- Craft compelling stories that maximize audience retention and watch time.
- Edit product reviews, comparisons, educational videos, buying guides, and sponsored content.
- Create high-performing Shorts, Reels, and social media content optimized for each platform.
- Perform advanced color grading, sound design, motion graphics, visual effects, subtitles, and finishing.
- Collaborate closely with scriptwriters, anchors, designers, videographers, and content strategists.
- Review and provide constructive feedback to junior editors to maintain quality standards.
- Ensure consistency in editing style, branding, and storytelling across all channels.
- Optimize videos based on YouTube analytics, audience retention, and platform best practices.
- Organize and manage project files, assets, and workflows for efficient production.
- Stay updated with the latest editing trends, AI tools, YouTube algorithms, and creative techniques.
Required Skills:
- Adobe Premiere Pro (Advanced)
- Adobe After Effects (Advanced)
- Adobe Photoshop
- Strong storytelling, pacing, and cinematic editing skills
- Motion graphics and animation expertise
- Professional sound design and audio mixing
- Advanced color correction and color grading
- Strong understanding of YouTube analytics and audience retention
- Excellent knowledge of YouTube, Instagram, Reels & Shorts content standards
Candidate Requirements:
- Minimum 3–5 years of professional video editing experience
- Strong portfolio showcasing long-form YouTube content
- Excellent creative judgment and attention to detail
- Ability to independently handle complete editing projects
- Experience mentoring or reviewing junior editors is a plus
- Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
- Self-driven, proactive, and capable of taking complete ownership
- Must be able to work full-time on-site from our Hyderabad office
