Job Description:
Under general supervision, performs a variety of basic to moderately complex Intelligent Modeling and/or CADD drafting assignments in accordance with the firm, client, and/or industry standards and procedures.
Duties & Responsibilities
Drawing Development
Under general supervision, prepares basic to moderately complex engineering and construction drawings using intelligent modeling and/or CADD which may include multiple views, detail drawings, general arrangement/layout drawings through proper translation of level of design (LOD) definitions as applicable. Utilizes information from vendors, catalogs, technical manuals, etc. in the preparation of intelligent models and construction drawings.
Drawing Support
Performs CADD/technical support tasks such as verifying intelligent model integrity plotting drawings, assembling drawing packages, preparing transmittals, preparing overnight packages, file management and/or filing prints, distributing drawings, making simple calculations, and coordinating specifications with drawings, etc.
Engineering Support
Under direct supervision, performs basic engineering calculations using accepted formulas and references.
Performs other duties as required.
Field Support
Supports field assignments as required.
Skills & Abilities:
Good communication skills with strict attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability to be a team player and contributor to the overall team.
Advanced working knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD MEP, Navisworks software.
Basic knowledge in Revit Dynamo.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office for design related tasks primarily within the Intelligent Modeling/CADD environment.
Qualifications:
- BE or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

Minimum 8+ years of relevant experience in Revit MEP is essential

The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.

Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Amount of Travel Required: No Travel is required Background Check and Drug Testing Information: CDM Smith Inc. and its divisions and subsidiaries (hereafter collectively referred to as “CDM Smith”) reserves the right to require background checks including criminal, employment, education, licensure, etc. as well as credit and motor vehicle when applicable for certain positions.
