Job Description
Manage power tools product certification for new products and existing products in coordination with test houses, create and track product certification plan for new products.
Transition of Regulation : Integrate new or changed regulations of India including the associated market access requirements into the Power Tools requirements landscape to make them available for stakeholders
Investigates and clarifies country specific requirements on Power Tools products.
Communicates country specific requirements to power tool central certification function with up to date about changes or modifications of national requirements.
Supports local & global business teams with information and interpretation of approval requirements, directives, and standards.
Obtains National Approvals [ex: BIS] for new products. Ensures that all national approval documents, registrations, self-declarations, etc. are available for the product(s) sold in India.
Manages and/or communication with national authorities, local Test Houses and customs
Responsible for internal projects and support plant project management
Support plant for daily maintenance of assigned product category.
Conduct failure analysis and problem solving for products in development and series production
Qualifications
Bachelor or master’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering
5+ years of professional experience, of which at least 3 years’ experience in engineering related department.
Familiar with country regulations, requirement engineering, Standards, Testing and Certifications for electrical tools is preferred
