We are currently seeking a team-oriented HR Consultant to strengthen our HR Corporate team. Acting as the primary point of contact for local HR matters, this role ensures smooth hiring and onboarding experiences, execution of HR policies, drives employee engagement, and facilitates effective communication between the Mumbai-based team and theleadership team based in Switzerland and Singapore. The successful candidate will combine strong local HR expertise with the ability to operate in a global, matrixed environment, ensuring alignment with Group HR standards while addressing regional needs.
Your Challenge
- Act as the principal liaison between the Switzerland/Singapore-based leadership and the Mumbai team, facilitating two-way communication, managing expectations, and supporting remote leadership of local staff.
- Consulting, coaching and supporting line managers in performing their managerial and leadership function and the employees along the whole employee life cycle.
- Coordinate and execute HR processes including hiring, onboarding, performance management, talent reviews, compensation planning, and recognition initiatives in alignment with global timelines and local working patterns.
Support change management, organisational redesign, and efficiency projects initiated from headquarters, ensuring local adoption and minimal disruption.
- Partner with local managers on workforce planning, role clarifications, and resourcing needs, escalating strategically important topics to global HR and leadership.
- Manage employee relations issues sensitively and in line with company values and legal requirements, collaborating with Legal and Group HR where necessary.
- Promote a positive, high-performance culture through engagement initiatives, and take on responsibility for HR related ad-hoc assignments from the leadership team.
- Work closely with the Local Head in Mumbai and advise on Compensation, L&D, Talent topics to ensure consistency and quality in HR service delivery.
Your Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field; postgraduate qualification preferred.
- Minimum of 9–12 years of HR experience, with proven experience in employee relations, performance management, and HR operations within multinational organisations.
- Confident in dealing with line managers and employees of different personalities in an international environment.
- Ability to build an internal network based on credibility and trust, integrity and discretion are essential.
- Prior experience supporting globally managed teams from an offshore location is essential.
- Strong understanding of Indian labour law and practical experience managing statutory compliance and audits.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to interact confidently with senior stakeholders across cultures and time zones.
· Proficient user of relevant IT systems (MS Office, Workday)
