Production Manager – Job Description

Job Summary
The Production Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and controlling manufacturing processes to ensure that cosmetic and FMCG products are produced efficiently, safely, and meet quality standards. The role involves managing production teams, optimizing productivity, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and maintaining cost-effective operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Production Planning & Management
- Plan and organize production schedules based on demand and capacity.
- Ensure timely manufacturing of cosmetics and FMCG products such as creams, lotions, shampoos, personal care items, and packaged goods.
- Monitor production processes and adjust schedules as needed.
2. Team Leadership
- Supervise production staff, supervisors, and operators.
- Provide training and guidance on production procedures and safety.
- Evaluate employee performance and ensure workforce efficiency.
3. Quality Control & Compliance
- Ensure products meet company quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), ISO standards, and safety regulations.
- Work closely with Quality Assurance and Quality Control teams.
4. Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity and reduce production costs.
- Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.
- Reduce waste and improve operational efficiency.
5. Equipment & Maintenance
- Ensure production machinery and equipment are properly maintained.
- Coordinate with the maintenance department to minimize downtime.
6. Inventory & Raw Material Management
- Ensure availability of raw materials and packaging materials.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with procurement and warehouse teams.
7. Health & Safety
- Maintain a safe working environment for employees.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations.
Required Skills

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Chemistry
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering / Industrial Engineering / Pharmacy / Production Management or related field
