Reporting to: Centre Manager
Location: All AL Centre
Job Purpose: To provide comprehensive education to the children attending Centers, so that they do not miss out on their education while under treatment or follow up.
Major Responsibilities:
[A] Teaching:
1. Prepare each child’s baseline and Individual Education Plan and convert it into lesson plans 2. Teach subject matter (viz. Science, Maths, Reading, Writing, Civic Education, Arts, Physical Education) 3. Teach children requiring remediation on a one on one situation, as required 4. Seek assistance of volunteers to fill gaps in the education program 5. Maintain regular daily, weekly and monthly plans and prepare reports as needed 6. Maintain observations of the children 7. Maintain attendance of remediation sessions and regular teaching sessions 8. Record and communicate learning outcomes and other relevant information with the supervisor 9. Interact with psychologist regarding children’s needs 10. Interact with parents regarding their child’s progress and issues if any.
11. Prepare a comprehensive write up about the child’s strengths, difficulties and portions covered, before they leave the center, to be included in the student folder/ leaving certificate. 12. Do periodic formative education assessment and summative evaluation and record the same in the child’s folder. 13. Maintain detailed student folder (worksheets with comments) 14. Coach and equip children to be ready to appear for exams of their relevant standard/ Board exams 15. Supervise students’ cleanliness and feeding interventions 16. Prepare teaching aids as required 17. Attend to any additional work given by the Management.
In addition to the above responsibilities, the Teacher needs to be warm and approachable to the child and the parent. She/ he needs to be prepared and organised to teach their lessons in a clear and structured way so as to enable students to make progress in every lesson, regardless of each student’s starting point. Teachers should be able to make use of Technology and various Teaching tools for better and effective imparting of knowledge to the kids.

1. Daily Report (about work carried out daily)
2. Monthly Report (summary of main tasks completed/ in progress for the month)
3. Individual Assessment Plan including their Progress for the kids.
4. Volunteer Reports (work carried out by Volunteers with the kids in regards to their studies/education etc.).
5. Parents Meeting Report (about meeting carried out with the kid’s parents in regards to the kids’ education, studies, progress, areas of improvement etc).
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹23,000.00 per month
