Job Summary
The Commis Chef – Continental Cuisine is responsible for assisting senior chefs in the preparation and cooking of Continental dishes while maintaining hygiene, food quality, and kitchen standards. The role includes supporting daily kitchen operations and learning professional Continental cooking techniques.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of Continental dishes as per hotel standards and recipes.
- Prepare ingredients such as vegetables, meats, sauces, soups, pasta, salads, sandwiches, and grills.
- Support senior chefs during buffet, à la carte, and banquet operations.
- Ensure consistency in food quality, taste, and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and workstations.
- Ensure proper storage and labeling of food items.
- Follow food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
- Assist in minimizing food wastage and maintaining kitchen discipline.
- Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and workstations properly.
- Support mise en place preparation for daily kitchen operations.
- Follow instructions from senior chefs and complete assigned duties efficiently.
- Maintain proper grooming and professional behavior in the workplace.
Requirements
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in hotel or restaurant kitchen operations preferred.
- Basic knowledge of Continental cuisine and cooking techniques.
- Familiarity with soups, sauces, grills, pasta, and bakery basics preferred.
- Ability to work in shifts and under pressure.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Hotel Management or Culinary certification preferred.

Working Hours
As per hotel operational requirements and shift schedules.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
