Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Hostel Warden (Male/Female) to oversee the safety, security, and well-being of residents in our hostel facilities. This role involves supervising daily operations, ensuring a secure environment, and providing support to residents through effective communication and crisis management. The ideal candidate will be proactive, compassionate, and capable of handling various responsibilities related to social work, behavioral health, and security protocols. Duties
- Supervise the day-to-day activities within the hostel, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to policies
- Monitor residents’ behavior and implement behavioral management strategies to promote a respectful community atmosphere
- Conduct regular security checks, including CCTV surveillance, access control, and patrols to maintain safety
- Respond promptly to emergencies or crises involving residents, providing crisis intervention and first aid as needed
- Facilitate intake procedures for new residents, including data collection, filing, and documentation of personal information
- Manage case files related to resident welfare, including medication administration records and behavioral health notes
- Coordinate with social workers or healthcare providers for resident support services such as addiction counseling or home & community care
Experience
- Supervising experience in residential or institutional settings preferred
- Proven ability in crisis intervention and conflict management within diverse populations
- Background in childcare, social work, behavioral health, or related fields is highly desirable
- Experience with security protocols, data entry, filing, and record keeping essential for effective case management
- Knowledge of LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) regulations or similar housing programs is a plus
- Home & community care experience demonstrating compassion and understanding of resident needs is advantageous
- Strong communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations professionally
